The stewardship committee encourages our congregation to give of their time, talent and financial resources to support St. George's and our calling as Christians. At the heart of the Christian faith is the need to love and support others. Our understanding of ‘stewardship’ is about: nurturing ourselves spiritually in God, growing communally in love for each other, responding generously financially in the giving of our resources, building up the membership of people who put their trust in God, and increasing our outreach and compassion for other people.

 

The committee prepares and runs stewardship programs for church members and prepares thank you messages going out to donors. The committee also encourages support for the national Anglican charity, Alongside Hope. Other tasks include organizing an event to clean up garbage and debris in our community, hosting parish potlucks and hosting Doors Open Owen Sound at our church.
